South Platte River, Evans to Kuner

35 boats participate in this years Evans to Kuner run on the South Platte for the annual multi-club spring outing.

Right now, the sun is out.  There is no wind, but that is likely to change by the end of the day.

We meet at 9 AM, run the shuttle and are back and on the water at 10:30.  At 11:30 we are doing the first portage then lunch is at 12:30 at the 2nd diversion / portage.  Flow today is 550, a nice first outing level and I am not intimidated when taking out above the diversion dams. 

I hear a hawk and smaller birds but do not see them.  Took out my binoculars but immediately got hung up on a sandbar...
