Lower Montgomery Pass Yurt

The Lower Montgomery pass yurt is quite nice.  When the clouds part - which has not been very oftne this trip - you can see the Nohku Crags and beyond fromthe front porch.  Not a star was to be seen.  Not even any sun.  But it has snowed everyday, and it seems like each morning, there has been six inches of snow on the deck.  The snow has been phenomonenal for skiing.  Ah, such turns I can make. 

We did a bit of exploring this time, skiing down along the ridge, then down slope that is the 2nd slope away from the hut.  We also skiied down one of the lower slopes.  It was a bit steeper and longer -- and some nice turns were made.  Well worth the hike back up.
