This is day 1 of our Thanksgiving Holiday.

We spent last night at the Wine Country Inn, located in the midst of a vineyard in Palisades Colorado.  We’ve never been there before and I was concerned that there would be lots of traffic noise from the highway but there was none!  This is a place to come back to, one of those places for the first night on the way to somewhere…

We leave Palisade around 10 AM after a ‘luscious’ complimentary breakfast.  It’s about 100 miles to Green River Utah.  We seem to be driving into a cloud bank but the forecast for the upcoming days is good and we should be ok as long as we don’t get any huge storms.  We arrive at camp mid-afternoon, this time on the east side, in that flat area about ½ mile south of the Smith Cabin.

Judging from the photos of the petroglyphs, I am wondering if this was the trip where we explored Black Dragon Wash
